Old and new have to be handled differently on the same site. Traditional walls need breathable materials and careful structural treatment; new elements are built to current standards and detailed to work alongside them.

Rural projects usually involve fewer people and more responsibility. Having one contractor who can handle the ground, the concrete, the masonry and the steel avoids the coordination gaps that cause delays on remote sites.
