About SHS Building & Groundworks
A Cumbria-based groundworks, civil engineering and construction contractor, run hands-on by Sam Scott.
SHS Building & Groundworks provides groundworks, civil engineering and construction throughout Cumbria and the surrounding areas. The work covers site preparation and excavation, drainage, foundations and concrete, structural blockwork, brickwork and stone, structural steel, radon protective measures, extensions, new builds and agricultural construction.
The business is run by Sam Scott. That matters practically: the person who looks at your site, prices the work and answers the phone is the same person accountable for how it is built. There is no layer of sales staff between the client and the work.
SHS works for homeowners, self-builders, developers, main contractors, farms and rural businesses, commercial clients, owners of traditional and heritage property, and construction professionals who need a dependable groundworks or masonry package on their own projects.
Where a project needs quantity surveying, structural engineering, GPS setting out or machine-control support, SHS brings in independent specialists it works with. Those disciplines are described honestly as partner-delivered rather than presented as in-house departments.
