What it is
A compact tracked excavator in the 1.5 tonne class — small enough to pass through a standard side access or gateway, but capable of sustained trenching and foundation work.
Rubber tracks spread the machine's weight, which matters on lawns, established yards and soft rural ground.
How SHS uses it
Digging foundation trenches, drainage runs, soakaway pits and service routes on SHS contracts.
Stripping topsoil, reducing levels and forming sub-base build-ups on smaller sites.
Working alongside the track dumper so spoil is moved as it is excavated rather than double-handled.
